315T Lime Powder Block Press 1
Lime Powder Block: Hydraulic Press Machine

315T Four Column Hydraulic Press for Lime Powder Block

A Lime Powder Block Forming 4-Column Hydraulic Press Machine is a heavy-duty industrial compaction system engineered to compress fine lime powder (quicklime or hydrated lime, calcium oxide or calcium hydroxide) into dense, uniform solid blocks, briquettes, or flux preforms.

These machines are utilized in steelmaking flux preparation, water treatment block manufacturing, flue gas desulfurization, and chemical processing sectors, where loose caustic mineral powders must be consolidated to minimize airborne dusting, reduce storage volume, and optimize handling or reaction rates.

01 — Engineering Considerations

Structural Design & Engineering Considerations (4-Column Architecture)

High-Precision Guidance & Parallelism: Lime and calcium-based powders require strict control over compaction uniformity to prevent structural weak points or density gradients. The four-pillar precision-ground column architecture ensures absolute platen parallelism and eliminates lateral play, preventing uneven wall pressures and ensuring consistent block density.

Rigid Load Distribution: Compacting fine mineral powders into high-strength blocks requires continuous, balanced tonnage. The 4-column frame withstands heavy cyclic loads without structural flexing, maintaining exact micro-tolerances between the punches and the die cavity over long operational lifespans.

Corrosion Resistance & Dust Containment: Because lime is caustic and generates fine, reactive particulate matter during handling, press tooling, die walls, and punches are engineered with corrosion-resistant alloy steels or specialized coatings, paired with enclosed feeding systems and dust collection interfaces.

03 — Operational Workflow

Operational Workflow

  1. Enclosed Volumetric Feeding: An automated, sealed feed shoe slides precisely over the die cavity to deposit a measured volume of loose lime powder, minimizing airborne dust and ensuring uniform fill density.
  2. Multi-Stage Compression:
    1. Fast Approach: The top ram lowers quickly to the material surface.
    2. High-Pressure Compaction: The system applies controlled tonnage. A multi-action or dual-punch configuration ensures even particle interlocking and density distribution throughout the depth of the block.
  3. Dwell Phase: Peak pressure is held for a set duration to allow trapped air to evacuate and the lime particles to firmly settle, minimizing internal stress or cracking.
  4. Controlled Decompression & Ejection: Hydraulic pressure is gradually bled off to prevent surface cracking from elastic springback. A bottom ejection cylinder then cleanly pushes the solid lime block out of the die cavity for downstream curing, packaging, or direct industrial use.
