315T Chalcanthite Powder Block Press 1
Chalcanthite Powder Block: Hydraulic Press Machine

315T Four Column Hydraulic Press for Chalcanthite Powder Block Press

A Chalcanthite Powder Block Compression 4-Column Hydraulic Press Machine is a specialized industrial compaction system engineered to compress fine chalcanthite powder (hydrated copper sulfate, copper sulfate pentahydrate) into dense, uniform solid blocks, tablets, or briquettes.

These machines are utilized in agricultural chemical manufacturing, copper electroplating supply production, and industrial metallurgy, where loose, water-soluble copper salt powders must be consolidated to minimize airborne dusting, reduce storage volume, and optimize handling or dissolution rates.

01 — Engineering Considerations

Structural Design & Engineering Considerations (4-Column Architecture)

High-Precision Guidance & Parallelism: Copper sulfate and related chemical salt powders require strict control over compaction uniformity to prevent structural weak points or density gradients. The four-pillar precision-ground column architecture ensures absolute platen parallelism and eliminates lateral play, preventing uneven wall pressures and ensuring consistent block density.

Rigid Load Distribution: Compacting fine chemical powders into solid blocks requires consistent, balanced tonnage. The 4-column frame withstands heavy cyclic loads without structural flexing, maintaining exact micro-tolerances between the punches and the die cavity over long operational lifespans.

Corrosion Resistance & Material Safety: Because copper sulfate is highly corrosive to standard steels when exposed to moisture, press tooling, die walls, and contact surfaces are engineered with corrosion-resistant stainless alloys or specialized protective coatings to ensure long operational life and prevent product contamination.

03 — Operational Workflow

Operational Workflow

  1. Enclosed Volumetric Feeding: An automated, sealed feed shoe slides precisely over the die cavity to deposit a measured volume of loose chalcanthite powder, minimizing airborne dust and ensuring uniform fill density.
  2. Multi-Stage Compression:
    1. Fast Approach: The top ram lowers quickly to the material surface.
    2. High-Pressure Compaction: The system applies controlled tonnage. A multi-action or dual-punch configuration ensures even particle interlocking and density distribution throughout the depth of the block.
  3. Dwell Phase: Peak pressure is held for a set duration to allow trapped air to evacuate and the salt particles to firmly settle, minimizing internal stress or cracking.
  4. Controlled Decompression & Ejection: Hydraulic pressure is gradually bled off to prevent surface cracking from elastic springback. A bottom ejection cylinder then cleanly pushes the solid chalcanthite block out of the die cavity for downstream packaging, curing, or sealing.
