100T Zinc Powder Block Press 1
Zinc Powder Block: Hydraulic Press Machine

100T Four Pillar Hydraulic Press for Zinc Powder Block

Zinc Powder Block Forming 4-Column Hydraulic Press Machine is a specialized industrial compaction system designed to press fine zinc powder or zinc-alloy powders into high-density, uniform solid blocks, tablets, or briquettes.

These blocks are heavily utilized in chemical processing, pyrotechnics, battery manufacturing, anti-corrosion coating production, and powder metallurgy alloying.

01 — Key Engineering Features

Key Engineering Features for Zinc Powder Compaction

Safety & Dust Management: Fine zinc dust is highly reactive and flammable in cloud form. The press machine incorporates enclosed feeding systems, dust extraction ports, and spark-resistant design considerations to ensure a safe operating environment.

4-Column Precision Guidance: The four-pillar synchronous guidance framework guarantees absolute platen parallelism and eliminates side-play. This prevents powder leakage around the tight tolerances of the die and punch, which is vital when pressing fine metallic powders.

Multi-Action Compression: Because zinc powder requires uniform density to prevent weak spots or internal fracturing, the press often utilizes a double-action design (top and bottom movement) to ensure even compaction from top to bottom.

02 — Technical Specifications

Control System

PLC with HMI touchscreen interface for programmable cycle parameters (fill depth, pressing tonnage, dwell time, and automatic ejection)

03 — Operational Workflow

Operational Workflow

  1. Precise Feeding: A sealed volumetric feeding shoe slides across the die cavity to deliver an exact measurement of loose zinc powder.
  2. Compaction Stroke: The top ram descends rapidly, transitioning into high-pressure pressing. The immense pressure forces the zinc particles into close contact, initiating mechanical interlocking and cold-welding.
  3. Dwell Time: The system holds the peak pressure for a preset duration to allow the trapped air to escape and stabilize the crystalline structure of the block.
  4. Controlled Decompression & Ejection: Pressure is gently bled off to prevent surface cracking from elastic springback. The bottom ejection cylinder then cleanly pushes the solid zinc block out of the die cavity for downstream handling.
